HAZEN, N.D. – February 7, 2026 –
State Representative Bill Tveit has secured the official District 33 Republican Endorsement for re-election to the North Dakota House of Representatives in the June 9, 2026 primary election.
The endorsement was approved at the District 33 Republican endorsing convention held Saturday, February 7, 2026 in Center, ND, where local delegates and committee members cast their support behind Tveit’s continued service in Bismarck.

A Record of Conservative Leadership
Since his first election in 2018, Tveit has built a record consistently aligned with the priorities of District 33 voters. He has earned a 100% rating from ND Right to Life, a 100% score from the ND Family Alliance, the Lignite & Chamber Champion designation, and the Legislative Courage Award.
In the North Dakota House, Tveit serves on the Agriculture Committee and the Human Services Committee, and is Vice Chair of the Interim Agriculture & Natural Resources Committee – committee assignments that put him directly at the table on the issues that matter most to the people of western North Dakota. He has sponsored and co-sponsored legislation on coal conversion tax relief (HB 1279), performance audits of state economic development agencies (SB 2396), and a broad slate of bills supporting agriculture, energy, and limited government.
His legislative work has focused on lower taxes and supporting small businesses, protecting life at every stage, defending parental rights and family values, standing with farmers and agriculture, supporting reliable and affordable energy, protecting private property rights, and expanding educational freedom.
Tveit is a U.S. Army veteran who grew up on a family farm in Burke County and has spent his career in agriculture. He is a Past President of the ND John Deere Dealer Group and has been deeply involved in the state’s farm equipment and agricultural community for decades. He and his family live in Hazen, where he has represented the people of District 33 in the North Dakota House since 2018.
Looking Ahead to the June 9 Primary
With the endorsement in hand, the Tveit campaign now turns its attention to the June 9, 2026 statewide primary election. Voters across District 33 – which includes all of Oliver County and portions of Mercer, McLean, and Morton counties, including the communities of Hazen, Beulah, Stanton, Center, and Underwood – will have the opportunity to cast their ballots either by mail or in person.
